The regular monthly DVAA Astrophotography Workshop is a free, open session for club members to discuss and share images and techniques. The date of the workshop generally falls on the Wednesday before the monthly DVAA General Meeting.
Participants are encouraged to join early in the evening for the introduction of new attendees, Show & Tell, and for Q&A. During the Show & Tell portion of the workshop, participants are encouraged to share images they've taken or processed recently, and to discuss or show new astrophotography equipment or projects they're working on. Other topics of discussion may include image acquisition tips, processing workflows, hardware and software setups, with occasional presentations focusing on aspects of deep sky object or planetary imaging.
The Astrophotography Workshop Zoom link will be active starting at 7:00 pm (or soon afterwards) for a dedicated "Beginner's Q&A" session that will end when the regular meeting starts, typically around 7:30 pm.
At this month's meeting, a short presentation will be given by Gary Trapuzzano about how he went about capturing and processing the image of M71 that was posted to the DVAA email group on August 13th. Even though his image of M71 was processed using PixInsight, the workflow is applicable to other available astro-image processing software.
The event is live streamed to the
@DelawareValleyAmateurAstro YouTube Channel.
NOTE: The Zoom link does not change and will only become active and working during the actual meeting time. No registration is required.
